Where we work

One base, at Abersychan in Torfaen, and a working radius we would rather describe honestly than dress up as national coverage.

There is a reason this page does not list fifty towns. We have one address, and inventing a presence in places we do not have one would tell you nothing useful about whether we can reach your yard on a Tuesday in February.

What matters on a rural site is not whether a company will sell to you. It is whether they will still come out in three years when a camera housing fills with water. So the honest version is a base, a radius, and a willingness to say when a site is too far for us to maintain properly.

The engineering base is at Victoria Road, Abersychan,NP4 8PT, operating as Secure Systems. If your postcode falls outside a sensible maintenance radius we will tell you on the phone, not after the installation.

The working radius.

  • South east Wales, closest to base

Torfaen, Monmouthshire, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport and the Vale of Usk. This is home ground, it carries the shortest response times, and it is where most of our maintenance rounds sit.

  • South and south west Wales

Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire and into Pembrokeshire. Regular working territory, including a lot of mixed farming and equestrian sites off the main routes.

  • Mid Wales and the Marches

Powys, the Brecon Beacons and the Radnor and Montgomery uplands. Long journeys and genuinely remote holdings, which is exactly the kind of site where connectivity and power planning earn their keep.

  • North Wales and Ceredigion

We work here for installation projects. Be aware that a maintenance round from Torfaen to Anglesey is a long day, and we will be straight with you about response times before you commit rather than afterwards.

  • Across the border

Herefordshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean, where the geography often makes more sense than the county boundary does.

Why Welsh sites throw up the same problems

More than a third of Welsh farms have installed CCTV, and rural crime still cost Wales an estimated £2.2 million in 2025. The pressure has moved rather than gone: livestock theft rose by nearly 7 per cent in Wales last year.

The practical picture is consistent across the country. Holdings with buildings spread over a long distance, poor fixed broadband, mobile coverage that varies between one end of a yard and the other, single track access, and no ambient light after dark. Those are the four conditions that decide whether a security system on a Welsh holding works or quietly stops working.

It is also why we spend survey time measuring signal and power at each building rather than at the farmhouse. Seeconnectivity and power.

What customers say about the engineers

Verified Google reviews of Secure Systems, the company that carries out every Equestrian Security Solutions installation. They are commercial and domestic customers rather than yards, so read them for how the team works rather than for equestrian experience.

  • We have used Secure Systems for years and have always had 5 star service on both fire and intruder systems. Paul and his team are top class installers and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

    Keith England

Fire and intruder systems, maintained over several years.

    Google review of Secure Systems

  • Secure systems did a fantastic job of providing new remote access security cameras, security and fire alarm systems in our new warehouse. They utilised some existing infrastructure and only installed new when needed. Providing a high quality, cost effective service, with excellent response times.

    Alexander Dodd-Jones

    Remote-access cameras, reusing existing infrastructure.

    Google review of Secure Systems

  • Very professional service and fully explained types of system they offer and the best type for me. Very clean installation and no damage to my property. Great after service maintenance as a slight technical fault on my system was fixed in less than 24hrs. I would happy recommend this company.
