Who we are

What we collect, and when

We collect personal data only when you choose to send it. That means the survey and enquiry form, an email you send us, or a phone call you make. This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics, and it does not set any cookie for marketing purposes.

Through the enquiry form we collect:

• your name, phone number and email address;
• the postcode of the site you are asking about;
• the type of property and the systems you are interested in;
• anything you write in the message field.

Our server also records the IP address a submission came from and the time it was made. That is used to rate limit the form and to identify abuse, and for nothing else.

Why we are allowed to use it

We process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interests, namely responding to a request you have made about our services. If we go on to work together, we process your data to perform that contract and to meet our legal obligations, including the record keeping that comes with certificated security and fire installation work.

We do not add enquirers to a marketing list and we do not send marketing email. If that ever changes we will ask you first.

Who sees it

Enquiries are seen by the Secure Systems team who handle surveys, installation and maintenance. Enquiry data is stored on our own server and notification emails are sent through our email provider. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and are then deleted. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for longer, because certification, warranty and maintenance obligations require it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Write to the address above or email enquiries@equestriansecuritysolutions.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

CCTV footage

This policy covers the website. It does not cover recordings made by a CCTV system we have installed on your property. Where you operate a CCTV system that captures images of people, you are the data controller for that footage, and responsibilities including signage, retention and responding to requests for footage rest with you. The Information Commissioner’s Office publishes plain guidance on this and we will point out at survey where your camera views raise it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
